Meet two local heart disease and stroke survivors who were featured in Maine Women Magazine’s “Heart Matters” issue last February. They will share their personal stories and answer your questions. American Heart Association staff will also be on hand to provide lifesaving information on women’s heart disease and stroke warning signs as wells as prevention tips.

I am very happy to read this..I had cardiac arrest in July of this year for 17 minutes…my cousin, who was CNA, my niece, and her significant other started CPR and contributed greatly to saving my life..of course, our excellent EMT’s in my hometown came and revived me..cardiologists at Maine Med..said without the initial CPR, I wouldn’t have made it ..my message is about the compressions… fast and hard saved me..of course, the Lord had everyone in the right places for me . PS..my excellent cardiologist is in Scarborough!!!!
